Barely bumped my Lacie drive yesterday when I went to shut it down to go home. It freaked out and it makes funny noises now without mounting. All my photos, credit reports, tax info, mp3s…puke.

I’m checking into my warranty and possibility of data recovery. Son-of-a!

EDIT/UPDATE: A friend of mine recommended a fix for it without having to open it up, but it didn’t work. Sonofa! So it looks like it will be shipped to LaCie for repair and complete wipe of data. That makes me apprehensive and sad.
