…is an uninformed idiot. I’m always ready to hear solid arguments, but the response she gets from textbook fallacy is repulsive. I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for those radical Christian car bombs today. What are the stats on radical Christians’ threat compared to radical Islam’s? I’ll take my comment back when I see that the threat is equal…I’m always up for crow dinner.
Thanks Mynx.

Well, I know what you mean about Rosie…it was one of those things that flew all over me when I saw it online. On the other hand. Jesus'/Devil's advocate has now started a slippery slope argument, which is also out of context. Had Rosie said that our health was more threatened by poor nutritional choices then your point would be relevant. I also appreciate your punny "faith that we 'Christian America' has killed a whole lot more Muslims than vice vera" sentiment. However, I have to point out that it still has nothing to do with Rosie's comment, nor does a pair of words like "Christian America" apply when the military and population of America includes other religions. Also, America is still not a theocracy even though people get scared when a government leader talks about his/her faith in Jesus. Our involvement in wars in the history of America has not been solely based in a religious belief. Plenty of Muslims, Jews, Atheists, Agnostics, etc. make up our military past to present. A radical Christian army would not allow that.I know it's hard, but you can just say that Rosie is an idiot and her point was/is moot. Then you can treat me to Palmetto Pig where the food terrorists will force feed me delicious barbecue, hash, and hush puppies. Oh yeah and that crack-like substance they call cole slaw.
I can't recall the last time I took anything that came out of Rosie's mouth serious, or the last time "the view" actually had a smart viewpoint. ;) Playing Jesus's/Devil's Advocate. I can say with faith that we "christian america" has killed a whole lot more muslims than vice versa. We have a greater chance of dying by eating too much, read obesity "epidemic", than we do of a car bomb.
It's not that I don't see your point Justin. It's just that it is irrelevant in this context. Rosie is saying that Americans are as threatened by radical Christianity as they are by radical Islam. I don't deny the fact that there are abortion clinic bombings and other acts of "terrorism" made by radical Christians or any other radical groups. They just aren't as equally threatening as those made or in the plans to be made by radical Muslims. Now, if I were watching The View from the Holy Lands during the crusades, I would cheer Rosie on…maybe. The new reformed Christianity is not ransacking the holy lands, much less America on a daily basis with fear tactics and random explosions. The biggest fear I have of busses in America is regarding the diesel exhaust clouds at stop lights making it hard to breathe. Not once has a bus gone by and I thought to myself, "I hope there aren't any crazy Christians on there with a bomb strapped to them."The point is that radical Christians just aren't as threatening to Americans as radical Muslims are, so Rosie is wrong for her statement. The Crusades argument is a fallacy.*Spelling on the quick…forgiveness please.*
Um… I hate to bring the bad news, but do you remember learning about these little things in history class called The Crusades? For reference:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CrusadeIt might not be happening now, but it did happen about 14 times over the course of 400 years. No car bombs back then, but if they had them I am sure they would have used them.Oh yeah… in regards to christian bombers of today. Remeber Eric Rudolph? Of course not, because we forget what we want to forget and remeber what the media wants us to remember. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Rudolph
